As soon as the sun sets, the underwater environment becomes a whole new world. Different critters emerge and exhibit all types of new behavior. Scuba diving at night teaches you to focus on what you can see in your light’s beam, on controlling your buoyancy by feel, on staying with your buddy and on paying attention to details you may overlook during the day. During this course you will learn about the equipment and techniques needed to safely enjoy this exciting new environment. During the classroom session you will learn about

• Dive planning and safety considerations for night diving
• Techniques used to signal and communicate at night
• Special gear and lights used while night diving
• Entering, exiting and navigating in the dark
• Identifying how plants and animals differ or change behavior at night

During your 3 open water dives you will learn how to set up your gear and plan your night dive. While underwater you will practice the proper techniques for signaling, navigating, and reading your computer and gauges at night. You will experience all of the marine life that emerges and can be observed at night.

Prerequisites:

Must hold a Junior Open Water Diver certification or higher and meet the minimum age requirement of 12 years old.
Must complete Medical Statement

Gear Needed

• Main Light, Backup Light & Tank Marking Light
• Scuba Gear: Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator with Computer or Gauges, Tank & Weights. If you rent from us you will receive the 50% off student rate!
• Personal Gear: Mask, fins, snorkel, hood, boots, gloves. Please know we do not rent these items.

Cost: $199

Includes: 1 Classroom session, 3 days of ocean dives (3 dives total)
Doesn’t Include: Rental & Personal Gear (If rental gear is needed, you will receive the half off student rate, please know we do not rent personal gear items.)

Refund Policy

All class payments are non refundable. From your registration date up until 15 days before the course start date you can reschedule to a new class with zero penalty. If you are within 8-14 days of the course start date you can reschedule to a new class with a rescheduling fee of 25% of the tuition. If you are within 0-7 days of the course start date you will owe a rescheduling fee of 50% of the tuition. If you don't show up to class, your tuition is forfeited.
