Diving Begins Sunday June 21st

We are excited to announce that Rockport beaches are now open to all! This means we can begin diving! There will be changes to this years dive society since large groups are not allowed to gather. Below you will find the details of our new system.

Diving with the Divemaster

For those of you who need/like to dive with the divemaster we will be offering guided dives on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings as usual. The maximum group size we can take with the divemaster is 8 divers. For anyone who wants this option you MUST call and pre-register for the dive. First come, first serve. You can either call us at 978-927-9551 or email us at dive@underseadivers.com to register.

Social Diving with Dive Society

For those of you who are more advanced/comfortable diving without a divemaster and come to dive society for the social aspect, we ask that you don’t join the group of 8 people and just meet up at the shop as usual but divide yourself into groups and dive where you want. You will still get the Dive Society benefits of one free air fill and 50% off rental gear for Dive Society dives but we ask that you do your own thing since we cannot have a large group. You will not be added to the roster, you will just be diving on our own with friends that you meet up with at the shop. You will need to provide your own flags.

Meeting Times

Wednesdays: Meet at the shop at 5:30pm|
Sundays: Meet at the shop at 7:30am

Rental Gear

If you should need rental gear whether you are diving with the divemaster or not, we please ask you to call ahead to reserve gear.

Rules

• You must wear a face covering while out of the water (This is a rule in Rockport in the areas that we dive)
• Please respect the 6ft social distancing when loading/unloading gear, donning gear along with distancing from others who are enjoying the beach
• Please be quite in the early morning
• DO NOT pull up on the sidewalk at Back Beach to unload gear. The police have requested this.
• The police have received complaints about people changing on the beaches. Please do not change under towels.
• Although we need to spread out in order to social distance please don’t leave a lot of gear on the grassy area at Old Garden so others can enjoy the park.

Liability Form

If you plan to dive with the divemaster you will need to fill out the online Liability Form. You only need to fill it out once for the year.
