We are happy to help you create a system that works for you.

In an environment where you actually rely on your gear for your next breath, every component needs to be reliable including your lighting system. Factory sealed, tested, and certified to the FL-1 Standard, the lights are guaranteed to perform. L&M lighting solutions have been conscientiously designed to seamlessly integrate into your diving experience so the light will feel as natural as your own vision. Built with versatile options to mount comfortably and hands free or to connect with just about any camera system – and the smart dashboard provides clear indication of run-time and mode selection.

Never before has the world seen a flashlight like the GoBe, a versatile and powerful system that provides the perfect light for any activity. Gobe’s robust factory sealed design is waterproof to 120 meters, works on land and can be mounted to anything. The platform is built with six compatible lightheads, each optimized to deliver the perfect beam pattern for your activity. Now you can GoBe Anywhere with a lighting system that delivers unparalleled performance and features with a compact durable design that weighs a mere 160 grams. These lights are all rechargeable and feature battery indicator lights with different power modes.

Models we carry:

GOBE 500 Spot/700 Spot
GOBE 700 Wide

GOBE 850 Wide

GOBE Heads NightSea Head

One of the best features with the GOBE lights is that if you decide you want to switch from a 500 SPOT light to an 850 Wide, all you have to do is replace the head. You don’t need to buy the whole light itself which saves you money!

GOBE 500 Search Head
GOBE 700 Spot Head
GOBE NightSea Head: This light in particular is pretty interesting and change the way you night dive. NightSea technology causes certain proteins and chemicals to fluoresce under blue light, revealing hidden details in the world around. For best results, view through a yellow filter to see nothing but fluorescence!

CONSUMER RECALL: Aqualung Surelock II Weight Pocket Handles

Aqua Lung News

Aqua Lung is conducting a voluntary recall of all SureLock II rubber weight pocket handles. SureLock II is the mechanical weight release system found on most Aqua Lung buoyancy compensators (BCs) beginning in 2009. Whether you have an original rubber handle or one of the revised rubber handles from the previous recall, Aqua Lung would now like to replace it with the latest generation handle, p/n 12396. Aqua Lung is concerned about the life expectancy of both models of rubber handles. A failure may occur due to separation of the rubber, cracking, tearing or breaking. If this were to occur during a dive, the weight pocket would be left engaged inside the BC. While there are no known occurrences of this happening underwater, and there have not been any reported injuries, Aqua Lung believes that a recall is the safe and prudent thing to do. The newest generation of handle does not rely upon rubber and is considered much stronger and safer.

SureLock Rubber Handles SureLock Webbing Handles

Both versions of rubber handle are
being recalled

The replacement handle uses
webbing instead of rubber.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using their BCs with Sure Lock II rubber weight pocket handles. Bring the pockets to your nearest authorized Aqua Lung Dive Retailer or Dive Center. They will be able to replace your handles for you while you wait, as changing handles is a quick process. The replacement is made under warranty and you will not incur any charges.

This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

GoPro Announces the Hero4 Camera.

The long-awaited GoPro Hero4 was released Monday September 29th. As expected this camera exceeded everyone’s expectations. The new cameras will be ready for consumer purchase on October 5th. They released a HERO4 Black Edition ($499), HERO4 Silver Edition ($399) and a basic model for first time action camera users, the HERO ($129).

Black Edition $499

gopro hero 4 black

The Black Edition boasts 4k technology (cinema-quality) with 2X faster video frame rate and 2x the powerful processing of the HERO3.  For those of you non-camera geeks, the 4K technology will give you ultra high resolution at 30 fps. You will even be able to pull out 8.3MP captured stills from the awesome footage you just shot.

Another big change is the replacement of the side Wi-Fi button with a Setting button that lets you quickly change the settings on whichever mode the camera is in at the time.

The GoPro has always had a challenge with battery life due to customers wanting to turn on the camera and leave it on. The battery now drops into a quick release magazine that feels more like a DSLR. Battery life should last longer than the HERO3 but we will really see how long it will work once we get our hands on them.  Please Note: Your HERO3 batteries will NOT be compatible with the HERO4.

  • 4k resolution (Cinema-Quality) at 30fps
  • 2.7K at 48fps
  • 1080p for slow motion at 120fps
  • 12MP stills up to 30fps
  • Shutter-speed override for low-light exposures and nighttime time-lapses
  • Wifi and sharing capabilities

Silver Edition $399

gopro 4 silver

The Silver Edition of the HERO4 is the most user-friendly camera they have created. While the resolution is not the same as the HERO4, is still gives you incredible quality stills and video peaking at 2.7K at 30 fps, 1080p at 60 fps and 720 at 120 fps. The big feature on this model is the new LCD touch screen which allows you to toggle easily between playback and modes. This model still includes the Wifi and Bluetooth for easy downloading and sharing. All editions are waterproof to 130 feet.

  • 2.7K at 30 fps/1080p at 60 fps and 720 at 120 fps
  • LCD touch Back Screen
  • Wifi & Bluetooth capable
  • 12MP stills at 30 fps

HERO $129

The HERO as GoPro calls it, is meant to be a starter action camera for entry-level individuals with a small budget. With fewer features and modes they have been able to bring the price down to $129. The video quality has been downgraded as well as no touch screen and comes standard with a built-in housing. You can unlatch the back door to charge the camera but that is all. Although this camera features lower quality and less modes than the Silver & Black Edition, this is PERFECT for the starting photographer. (Makes a great gift for kids!)

  • 1080p at 30fps or 720p at 60fps
  • 5-megapixel images in 5fps burst mode
  • Camera permanently attached to housing

We will be getting our first shipment of cameras soon and will make an announcement when they hit the shelves!

Do you ever get cold while diving? Become a Dry Suit Diver Today!

Do you ever get cold while diving? Being a PADI Dry Suit Diver allows you not only to stay dry and warm when diving, but consequently enables an extended dive season and allows you to take on more challenging dive spots.

Dry Suits are great for recreational diving and many technical divers wear Dry Suits due to the length of the time spent underwater. The longer the diver is in the water, the more thermal protection is required.

– PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying rating

What you learn:

– Dry suit buoyancy control skills
– Dry suit maintenance, storage and basic repair
– Undergarment (fleece or overall-type garments worn under the dry suit) options

Hear what other people have to say about Dry Suit Diving
“First of all, in a perfect world, dry suits would be free so everyone could have one.  If you’ve never dived in a dry suit, you don’t know what you’re missing.  You can be diving off of the Gloucester breakwater as comfortably as you would in the Caribbean.  It’s super comfortable, and you never get cold. Never.  It’s also super convenient and easy.  Just a couple of weeks ago I was diving on a boat full of guys, and at the end of the dives I unzipped my drysuit and undergarment and stepped out wearing the same shorts and t-shirt I was wearing back at the dock.  One of the guys asked, “You can do that?”  Yes.  You can do that.  It really is dry.
As to the dry suit course, it was totally worth it too.  Buoyancy in a dry suit is different.  Not difficult, just different.  The course helps you understand why it’s different and how various situations can affect your buoyancy.  You can pretty much master it after just a couple of dives once you know the tricks.  (Hint: you really don’t need ankle weights.)  The other things you learn are the emergency procedures that are unique to a dry suit, basically how to deal with malfunctioning valves or fill hoses.  You also learn the various types of suits and seals, and all the materials that can be used, as well as the care that’s required.  All very useful stuff.  I took the class with Shaun and as usual he was great.  He answered all of my questions, some of them twice.”
