April News 2016

Hello Divers!

The water is warming up folks! It’s time to get that gear in for service so you can hop in the water when the weather turns nice. We are getting water temp readings of around 43 degrees.

March flew by for us, we had a great time in Bonaire. We had pretty good weather and visibility. This trip we saw many seahorses thanks to our divemasters Max & Denise. We spent a lot of time over at Klein Bonaire where Shaun was able to get some great macro shots. He compiled all of this clips into a great video you can watch here. Next Shaun heads to Roatan with 25 divers for school vacation week. We will be staying at Anthony’s Key Resort. We are expecting great photos of sharks and dolphins!

We started teaching the Open Water Diver Course for the Spring semester over at Gordon College which is always fun. Larry enjoys teaching the students and they even get college credits for it.

We had a wonderful time at the most recent Danversport Marina Show. We had double the attendance than the first show. It’s great to see there are so many people interested in sharing their passion for the ocean in so many ways. There will be one final show on April 23rd. Unfortunately we will not be able to be there since Shaun will be in Roatan and Whitney is at the store but stop by the show and meet some of the North Shore Frogmen and other local clubs and businesses.

We have a lot of new products in the store which you can read about below. We are fully stocked for our sale and the start of the season! We also have changed the store around with new displays and counters. Come on by and take a look! Start thinking about hitting the water soon! GO DIVE!

Happy Diving!

We are excited to announce our first trip ever to South Asia. This area of the world is known for its incredible and unique diving. Dive Dominica

Join us in Dominica November 5th – 12th, 2016. We will be staying at a small resort called Castle Comfort. Not only is this destination EXCELLENT for diving, offering diverse marine life and underwater terrain but the island has so much more to offer such as numerous hikes to waterfalls and gorges, whale watching, zip lining and more!

Dive Bonaire

For over 25 years Undersea Divers has been running trips to this “Diver’s Paradise” and divers have been coming back year after year. If you’ve never been to Bonaire, don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience pure diving freedom. Bonaire’s pristine reefs and diverse marine life are unique to the Caribbean. Because the waters around Bonaire are designated as an official marine park, diving Bonaire is like diving the Caribbean the way it used to be – untouched and unspoiled. We head back there December 3rd -10th, 2016.

The Seaside Pro is great for snorkeling gear, the Deluxe can fit much more. We have them in 3 colors, yellow, pink and blue. They are made from a heavy duty mesh with a tarpaulin bottom.

Thermaxx 5mm Gloves

As most of you know, we love the Thermaxx line made by Henderson. Everyone loved the suits so much they have now come out with accessories. We are happy to announce that we now carry the 5mm 5 finger Thermaxx Glove. They are super stretchy for easy on and off and keep you warm and toasty.

Innovative Scuba Dry Boxes

We have expanded Dry Box sizes that will accommodate a small hotel key card and credit cards to something that is lean and will hold a cell phone, keys, credit cards, etc, to another one that will hold a cell phone and sunglasses. These are great for tossing in your gear bag and bringing it on a boat.

Finger Spools

We now carry finger spools in either plastic or stainless steel. We carry 2 sizes in each type, 65ft line and 100 ft line. Finger spools are used when wanting to deploy a SMB, cave diving, setting up an underwater search, etc.
