“On the Rocks–Life Underwater”

Reminder–The first illustrated talk in the “Underwater in Salem Sound” Lecture Series is tonight, Wednesday, February 25– 7 pm at Marblehead’s Abbot Public Library.

With his topic “On the Rocks, Life Underwater”, Ted Maney, Marine Biologist at Salem State University, will share information about the sea creatures that are unseen by most–those that cling to underwater rocks and hard surfaces.

Maney will also share the results of a 20 year study of subtidal communities off our coast at Halfway Rock and off East Point in Nahant. null

And, he will talk about a new Salem State project to create offshore mussel farming using underwater long lines in the Gulf of Maine.
