This course will teach you the skills and equipment needed to find and recover objects both large and small. Your training starts in the classroom by learning:

• How to plan a safe and effective search
• Different search patterns and when to use them
• Equipment needed to perform searches and recover large or heavy objects.

During the 4 open water dives you will practice searching for and recovering various objects. You will be performing different search patterns and techniques based on the dive situation and object being recovered. You will also practice rigging, typing knots, and moving heavy objects using a lift bag.

Prerequisites

Must hold a Junior Open Water Diver certification or higher with a minimum age of 12 years old.
Must complete Medical Statement

Gear Needed

• Scuba Gear: Wetsuit, BCD, Regulator with Computer or Gauges, Tank & Weights. If you rent from us you will receive the 50% off student rate!
• Personal Gear: Mask, fins, snorkel, hood, boots, gloves. Please know we do not rent these items.

Refund Policy

All class payments are non refundable. From your registration date up until 15 days before the course start date you can reschedule to a new class with zero penalty. If you are within 8-14 days of the course start date you can reschedule to a new class with a rescheduling fee of 25% of the tuition. If you are within 0-7 days of the course start date you will owe a rescheduling fee of 50% of the tuition. If you don't show up to class, your tuition is forfeited.
